The Society of Plastics Engineers’ SPE Blow Molding Division conducts an Annual Student Design Contest to promote interest in blow molding applications.

The Division offers a $1000 prize to a student or group of students who submit the winning entry; an additional travel allowance is offered to the winner(s) so they can present their proposal in a poster presentation at either an upcoming SPE Annual Blow Molding Conference or ANTEC®.

NEWTOWN, CT, U.S.A., February 22, 2011: New advances in polypropylene polymerization technology and resin development will be the topic of a plenary address by Dr. Michel Daumerie of Borealis Polyolefine GmbH at the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) 23rd International Polyolefins Conference next week.

The Conference will take place in Houston, Texas, February 27–March 2, 2011. The Borealis Polyolefine presentation will be made on Monday, February 28. Dr. Daumerie is polyolefin R&D director for Borealis Polyolefine.

World’s Largest Plastics Technical Conference Will Again Take Place During NPE
DÜSSELDORF, October 27, 2010—The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) will colocate the 2012 edition of its ANTEC® technical conference with the NPE2012 international plastics exposition, it was announced at K 2010 by SPE and SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association. Read More.

The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Continuous Compounding Topcon (CCT) will have a novel program that includes the renowned CCT technical conference plus machinery demonstrations and tutorial sessions, it was announced today by SPE’s Extrusion Division.

The 23rd International Polyolefins® Conference will take place in Houston, Texas on February 27- March 2, 2011, it was announced August 10, 2010 by the South Texas Section of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE).

The South Texas Section has also issued a call for papers for the conference, which will be held at Houston’s Hilton Hotel North. The theme of the event will be “Evolving Technology for the Global Economy.”
