WANTED: FUTURE PLASTIC PROFESSIONALS IN NEED OF SCHOLARSHIPS The Richard Goolsby Scholarship Fund sponsored by the Carolinas Section of the SPE has awarded $151,350 to fifty-one students. Students currently receiving scholarship money are Justin Bennett and Rory Sallach of NC State University, Micah Easley of Davidson Community College, James Evans of USC - Columbia, Jennifer Ferguson of Western Carolina, Terry Henderson of Asheville-Buncombe Tech, Laura Wichmann of Clemson University and Oleg Melnichenko of the University of Tennessee. To qualify you must be a full-time student at either a four-year college or a two-year technical program who has completed at least one full year of study that demonstrates an interest in plastics. Areas of study can include but are not restricted to chemistry, physics, all engineering fields, business administration, marketing and specific technical skills. Awards range up to $4,000 annually and may be renewed for up to three additional years with satisfactory academic performance. Please
