Abstract:

Pacific Northwest SPI’s 5th annual Tour and Open House of WWU’s Plastics Engineering Technology department will showcase the outstanding curriculum and classroom experiences that prepare WWU students for employment in the plastics industry. In addition to the Open House, there will be opportunities for companies to meet with and recruit students for internships or permanent positions. This event is also being supported by SPE’s Pacific Northwest Section.

Event begins with a luncheon at 11:30am in Western Washington University's Viking Union building (VU462 A/B). The event then continues with a presentation at 12:30pm within the University's Engineering Technology Department building (ET106). The presentation is then followed by an Open house which begins at 2:00pm and is held throughout the Engineering Technology building. This event is concluded with an open panel discussion with SPE and SAMPE student chapter members discussing the benefits of membership. This discussion begins at 5:30pm.
