Scope: It will be the purpose of the Nano/Micro Molding SIG to promote scientific and engineering knowledge relating to materials, tooling, machinery and processing techniques for micro and nano plastic parts with micro or nano features. The SIG will motivate members to contribute, solicit and accumulate such knowledge and disseminate the same through publications and technical meetings. It will further be the SIG’s objective to assist the Executive Officers of the Society of Plastics Engineers in organizing all major technical programs in the micro and nano arena. It will further be the SIG’s objective to coordinate with other interested national and international organizations and educational institutions for the purpose of propagating the understanding of molding plastics in the nano/micro scale by the SIG.
