Purpose of Foams 2008
The FOAMS Tutorial will be held on September 8-9, 2008 and will provide practical information that will help you enhance your technical capability in foaming. The tutorial will benefit both the experienced foam technologist as well as someone wanting to learn about foams, foam design, and processing of various foams. It is scheduled immediately before the TopCon so you can utilize the knowledge that you acquire to help understand and interpret the ideas and concepts that will be presented during the conference.

The FOAMS™ 2008 conference will be held on September 10-11, 2008 for 2 days in Charlotte, NC. This conference is the premier forum for presentations of new developments in foaming technologies due to the diversity of attendees.New materials, processes, equipment and foaming agents are being continually developed for foam applications. Interest in finding new polymers and foaming agents for foam application is one of the top priorities for foam manufacturing industries. There is also a great interest in developing environmentally safe methods to manufacture thermoplastic foams. Although a large number of papers have been published, the foaming mechanism is not fully understood because of its complexity.

The FOAMS™ 2008 conference is planned to address the above key issues with a collection of groundbreaking presentations by leading researchers in foam industries/universities. It will feature world renowned speakers presenting technical papers on innovations in foam processing to create micro and nanocellular foams, “safe” blowing agents, and state-of-the-art foam additives such as nucleating and coupling agents, biodegradable materials, and TPO, with emphasis on industrial applications.

Please be sure to reserve these dates in September, to be in Charlotte, NC to attend the Premier Foams Tutorial and Conference.

Conference Topics Include:
  1. Foam Sustainability
  2. Innovation in Foams
  3. Biodegradable Foams
  4. Particles in Foams
  5. TPO Foams
  6. Micro and Nanocellular Foams
  7. Blowing Agents
  8. Foam Applications/Characterization
