A post-doctoral position in Polymer Synthesis is open immediately in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.

The successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary, multi-institutional group working on an NIH-funded retinal implant project. The candidate will synthesize and evaluate biocompatible polymers to be used as coatings for biomedical, specifically retinal, implants. Candidates with backgrounds in polymer chemistry and/or organic chemistry are invited to apply. Expertise in ring-opening polymerization is preferred.
