FREE Learning Webinars on Autodesk Software for Personal Learning

SPE and Autodesk Team to Provide Educators/Student Members FREE Learning Webinars on Autodesk Software for Personal Learning

February 15, 2012
Inventor Professional for Plastic Product Design

This webinar focuses on taking plastic part design to the next level, using tools like Inventor with DFM technologies to design parts, and going the next step in the process of designing the injection mold using the automated tools provided with Autodesk Inventor Design Suite to prepare more effectively for Moldflow simulations and better communication to suppliers.

Adviser Advanced for Injection Molding Part Design Optimization

Using Autodesk Moldflow Adviser Advanced to go to the next level of your design process; discovering molding issues before they become reality and avoiding costly mistakes before they happen.

March 21, 2012
Simulation Multiphysics for Structural Plastic Parts

Understanding the structural implications of the injection molding process on the life of your plastic parts; knowing that plastics have preloaded internal stress from the molding process and how that affects the performance of your part in service situations.

Plastics Design Workflow–Inventor Professional

Completing the workflow, take a look at how plastic parts are designed, simulated, and tested virtually. Taking the concept of digital prototyping to the simulation world, and digitally manufacturing your parts before the tool build even starts.

Presented by: Jeff Higgins, Autodesk
Mr. Higgins graduated from Penn State University in 1997 with dual degrees in mechanical and plastics engineering. He immediately started working as a process engineer for a consumer products company and joined C-MOLD a year later. C-MOLD has since undergone two acquisitions, by Moldflow in 2000 and then Autodesk in 2008. For the past eight years, Mr. Higgins has focused on automotive and transportation companies, and he has worked to help develop standards for best practices for Moldflow usage industry-wide.
