GENERAL INFORMATION
Engineers and technicians are faced with constant technological challenges. The best way to keep them at the forefront of their fields in order to meet these challenges is through a program of continuing education. And one of the most effective and efficient ways to do this is through in-plant training. SPE is a recognized leader in providing training for the plastics industry. SPE can help you meet the training needs of your company with a quality in-plant seminar program.
Seminars are listed by technology/SPE Divisions. These seminars are offered publicly through the SPE Seminar Program before they are promoted for inplant training. SPE carefully evaluates and monitors the instructor and class responses in order to provide the industry with quality presentations. SPE Seminar Instructors are experts in their field, drawn from both industry and academia and bring many years of practical and theoretical experience to the SPE Seminar Program.
By conducting an SPE In-Plant Seminar your company can realize considerable savings by paying the travel expenses for just one person, the instructor, and receive a presentation focused to address your company's needs.
Inplant Seminars can be scheduled in as little as three weeks, depending on the instructor's availability. SPE has provided inplant training to companies in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and even Russia. Class size can be as small as 6 people, or up to as large as 50 people.
Seminars can be customized to your company's needs, but if customization is extensive, such as considerable modification of the seminar, additional charges can be incurred.
What is the process of scheduling an inplant?
The client contacts SPE with the seminar of interest and anticipated timing of seminar to be presented. SPE will contact the instructor to check availability. If the instructor is not available, the instructor will call the client to discuss alternate dates. If the instructor is available, definite dates will be verified verbally to all parties.
SPE will send a letter of confirmation and agreement to the client for request of signature and a purchase order. The instructor will make airfare reservations at the best available rate. SPE will make the instructor's hotel reservation at lodging recommended by the client. SPE will provide the client with audio-visual needs and instructor requirements. SPE will ship all course materials to the client at least three business days prior to the scheduled date of the seminar.
SPE will invoice the client after the seminar is presented to the client. SPE will provide certificates of completion to attendees, upon request.
The client provides a signed confirmation and purchase order, number of people attending, a suitable meeting room with audio-visual for instructor, times seminar is scheduled, detailed directions to the location of the seminar, suggestions for instructor's overnight stay, dress guidelines for the instructor, refreshments to attendees, if desired, and payment of inplant seminar. The client also distributes course materials to attendees and returns completed attendee evaluations to SPE with a final attendee list.
If an individual from your company would like to attend and evaluate the seminar prior to scheduling an inplant seminar, they may do so. If your company is then interested in scheduling an inplant seminar per their review, we will deduct the individual's seminar fee from the balance of the inplant seminar. Our seminar schedule can be located on our website.
