Purpose & Overview
During the explosion in development of plastic materials that took place in the late 20th century, a proliferation of conversion processes and their variants arose. This seminar will characterize the processing industry and acquaint those new to the field about their possible choices.
The seminar will provide a basic overview of seven conversion processes that account for over 97% of all plastic products. History, equipment, tooling, and materials will be covered. Process attributes, general design guides, and case studies are included, which will allow comparison, evaluation, and selection of the best process for your product.
Who Should Attend
Engineers, industrial designers, managers, manufacturing, and marketing personnel involved in plastic-product development and commercialization positions. Anyone interested in plastics and how plastic products are manufactured.
