Defects
Processing often produces defective materials. Every technique has the capability of defects if not properly done. Some are obvious requiring immediate action and some are more subtle, often not apparent until in use, Testing at every step is necessary to minimize these problems. Every manufacturer needs consistent and useful testing protocols. Unfortuantely this is the most neglected and ingnored part of manufacturing. (RDC 11/14/2011)
