Wan et al copolymerized 2,3,4,5,6-pentafluorostyrene (PFS) and fluorinated styrene derivate monomer (FSDM).  The refractive index and cross-linking density of the polymers can be tuned and controlled by monitoring the feed ratio of comonomers.  (RDC 1/12/2011)

Kharas et al produced copolymers  by solution copolymerization in the presence of a radical initiator (ABCN) at 70°C.  High Tg of the copolymers, in comparison with that of poly(4-fluorostyrene) indicates a substantial decrease in chain mobility of the copolymer due to the high dipolar character of the trisubstituted ethylene monomer unit.  (RDC 1/12/2011)
