Surface interpenetrating networks of polyacrylamide in poly(ethylene terephthalate) as a means of surface modification
(2078-2084) European Polymer Journal 46 #10 (2010)
Rudenja, Zhao and Li of the University of Manitoba used scanning probe microscopy x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to show that treating PET surfaces with polyacrylamides increase surface roughness and the polyacrylamide chains extended 7.2 nm into the surface with a surface concentration of 30.7 %.
