Xiao et al prepared these macromers by allylic halide displacement from brominated poly(isobutylene-co-isoprene) (BIIR) by carboxylate nucleophiles.  These macromers crosslink efficiently with peroxide initiation to produce high-modulus thermosets.   (RDC 11/9/2010)
