Preparation and Properties of Biodegradable Films from Wheat Protein Isolate

Jagadeesh, Reddy and Rajulu of Sri Krishnadevarays University, India made fully biodegradable and eco-friendly green films from wheat protein isolate (WPI) by casting  with the addition of plasticizer and cross linking agent and subsequent heating and drying.  The films with 10% of glycerol and 20% glutaraldehyde showed good mechanical properties.  (RDC 4/22/2011)
