Thermoplastic resin composition, resinous material including same composition, and sliding members using same material
Oto and Hashimoto of Nissan Motor, Japan developed a low friction material for chain guides in an engines with oil and heat resistance. The material consists of 5 to 40 parts by weight of crosslinked tetrafluoroethylene polymer or copolymers and 95 to 60 parts engineering thermoplastic. (RDC 1/11/2011)

Influence of alternating sequential fraction on the melting and glass transition temperatures of ethylene–tetrafluoroethylene copolymer
(4831-4835) Polymer 51 #21 (2010)
Arai et al estimated the melting point of a perfectly alternating copolymer is estimated to be 295 °C on the basis of the dependence of Tm using a modified Flory’s equation. The corresponding Tg was estimated as 145 °C by applying a modified Gibbs–Damnation’s equation.
