Sustained release of nucleic acids from polymeric nanoparticles using microemulsion precipitation in supercritical carbon dioxide

Ge et al injected a microemulsion containing tRNA and polymer into supercritical CO2 to precipitate tRNA-encapsulated polymer nanoparticles.  This is a general approach for producing biodegradable nanoparticles containing nucleic acids for sustained release.  (RDC 11/23/2010)
