Microinjection Molding by Ultrasound is a promising technology presenting less energy and power consumption (since it does not require neither conventional electrical heaters nor a reciprocating screw) and providing an accurate shot weight with a reduced sprue weight (around 50% compared with conventional microinjection). Moreover it has been possible to replicate very tiny cavities with elevated precision and considerable less pressure than conventional microinjection process.
