This easy-to-use, interactive CD-ROM-based photo and supplier database of materials used in European instrument panels contains extensive skin, foam and substrate materials and respective supplier data for more than 700 vehicle models in the European fleet from 1981 to 2006. Almost 200 of the models shown are from 2001-2006, and 40 models are from 2003-2006. The database can be sorted, filtered, printed, and interrogated. The Excel-based material and supplier database is backed by side and front view photos of instrument panels. Photos of vehicle models and the relevant supplier information can be compared side-by-side with a second model. The database is an essential working tool for designers, materials engineers, and planners to analyze, visualize and compare design features, materials selection and supplier shares.
