This video examines the injection
moulding process for a range of products, injection
blow moulding using preforms, production of
flexible foams, rotational moulding, extrusion
compression moulding, thermoforming and the
computer modeling and production of a stadium
seat.
Actual footage shows how material
is handled, how various products are manufactured
(such as soft drink bottles, foams, automotive
door liners) and how assembling takes place.
Computer graphics are used to help explain the
various processes.
This is a solid primer for secondary
teaching institutions, trade and technician
courses, university and vocational students,
sales reps, new employees or anyone who wants
a substantial overview of material selection
for specific processes. (This product was reviewed
and approved by SPE members).
The double CD pack of each program
has been specially designed for the teaching
situation and induction of staff into the workplace.
One CD is a VCD of the program playable on a
DVD player. The second CD consists of the script
and a PowerPoint presentation of the computer
graphics ideal for class notes and lecture theatre
plus an Mpeg version of the program ideal for
the office situation. These features are all
self-installing.
