Description:
Controlling Degradation in Extrusion Systems Keep Specks and Gels from Crippling Your Productivity A finely tuned extrusion system that makes saleable product hour after hour gladdens the heart of any production manager. But when contamination by specks or gels leads to product losses, unscheduled production interruptions or customer dissatisfaction then you need solutions – right away! Understand the source of the problem The presentation will discuss two possible origins for contaminants in extruded product – either you bought them or you manufactured them. Contaminants either are carried into the process with your raw material and or created in your system by one of several mechanisms. In any case they wind up eventually in the product. Developing Effective Countermeasures Once you understand the source(s) of your contamination problem you can develop and apply countermeasures appropriate to the situation. These will be discussed in detail.
