Purpose & Overview
Attendees learn to estimate, analyze, and reverse-engineer quotes for injection molded parts, select a vendor, write a purchase order, specify injection molds, run a successful cost-reduction program, and more. Also covered are the Do's and Don'ts that should be considered when purchasing molds, parts, assemblies, or finished parts from Asia.

Who should attend?
Purchasing agents, sales persons, engineers, and equipment personnel.
NOTE: Attendees should bring a pocket calculator.

About the Instructor: Robert Beard, P.E.
Robert Beard, P.E., is president of Robert A. Beard & Associates, Inc., which offers consulting services in product design & development, technical & manufacturing cost studies of proposed new plastic parts, computer simulations, product specifications, process development and cost reduction programs, and troubleshooting. He is a registered Professional Engineer and has also been an assistant professor in the New York State University system, and an instructor at Penn State University and the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Beard is a Fellow Member of the Society of Plastics Engineers.
