Back to the Future with Medical Plastic Designs and Materials for Next Generation Medical Devices and Drug Delivery Systems

This MiniTec will be held the Tuesday, April 12th, the first day of the 2022 MD&M West Expo & Conference in the Anaheim Convention Center.

Our Technical Program Committee is now accepting speaker / presentation proposals for inclusion in this event. We will feature at least 10 of the most relevant presentations (30-minute time slots each) selected from all submissions received by November 19, 2021

Papers related to the following will be taken into strong consideration:

Medical market trends and product design, especially

  • Sustainability
  • Design for the next generation of medical devices, pharmaceutical delivery systems and combination products
  • Additive Manufacturing
  • Advanced Resins and Composites
  • Supply Chain Strategies
  • Regulatory Strategies

Call for Papers

If you are interested in being considered, please submit the following:

  1. Your name
  2. Proposed presentation title
  3. Abstract of 150 word maximum (no exceptions!)
  4. Your contact information including:
    • Full name as it would appear in the program
    • Company or Affiliation
    • Office phone number
    • Mobile phone number
    • Email address
  5. Agreement that you will comply with following speaker requirements

Speaker requirements:

  • Submit proposed title & abstract
  • Submit high resolution color headshot & biography of 150 word maximum
  • Submit Power Point presentation for committee review
  • Participate in the program in Anaheim (LIVE – in person)
  • Give us permission to distribute pdf version of your presentation to attendees (assumed if you submit)

After all interested speakers submit title/abstract, the committee will review and prepare the program with the morning session to focus on Novel Polymer Materials Technology and the afternoon session to focus on Design & Advanced Processing Technology. Submitters will be notified of decision once made.

​​​​​​​Due to the highly successful poster session from MiniTec2021 – we will repeat a poster session for MiniTec2022. Poster presenters need not be present for the session and must have posters ready by March 12, 2022.

This conference is expected to host at least 100 conference attendees and will feature up to 20 tabletop exhibitors.
