Keynote: PVC Markets and Uses

Abstract

In this capacity Sylvia Moore works with Shintech and K-Bin customers who need assistance processing resin or compound, designing formulations for their equipment and product requirements, improving their processes for greater profitability.

Sylvia’s long term experience in rigid extrusion has helped in this capacity. She has worked for such well known companies as Alcoa Building Products, CertainTeed, Wolverine Technologies, Holland Colors, Deceuninck and Alside. Working for a small start-up company like Wolverine or a large conglomerate like Alcoa has allowed the vast experiences from the smallest details of operating a plant to the board room and large scale acquisitions.

In her current capacity it is a very rewarding job. Networking throughout the vinyl industry to solve problems and advance the causes of the vinyl industry she finds very satisfying.

Sustainability and recycling are current passions. Vinyl has an excellent story on both accounts and the world needs to better understand what a great product vinyl is.

She and her husband live in Northeast Ohio so they can be close to their son/daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.
