SPE is putting on an additive manufacturing workshop to educate plastics professionals regarding when to choose Additive Manufacturing. During the Workshop attendees will learn about manufacturing processes and applications for technologies from HP, Carbon, Plural, Formlabs + topology optimization from Altair. The attendees will then break into groups and work collaboratively to solve case studies addressing AM product development problems with the goal of shifting the cognitive bias away from traditional manufacturing and toward additive by providing new tools and techniques, facilitated by Katherine at WERK_Strategy. The best part is that all profits and sponsorship from the Additive Manufacturing Workshop will be donated to local schools in the form of 3D Printers
