SPE Injection Molding Design Awards

SPE and the SPE Injection Molding Division (IMD) are excited to announce its upcoming IMD Plastics Parts Awards Program! This prestigious program will recognize excellence in injection molding, celebrating innovation and creativity within the field. The program highlights significant work in injection molding on a national and international level.

Awards Program Overview

The SPE Injection Molding Awards program invites companies from across the plastics industry to submit their most innovative plastic parts created through injection molding. This awards program showcases the latest advancements in design, manufacturing, and applications in the plastics industry.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Commercial Production: All entries must be plastic parts currently in commercial production. Prototype entries will only be considered in the student concept category.
  • Market Introduction: Eligible parts must have been introduced into the market within the last 24 months.
  • Injection Molding: Submissions must utilize injection molding processes.

Judging Criteria

A panel of experienced judges will evaluate submissions focused on several key aspects, including but not limited to:

  • Innovation and Originality
  • Functionality and Performance
  • Aesthetic Appeal
  • Manufacturing Excellence
  • Market Impact
  • Sustainability
  • Recyclability

This is a fantastic opportunity for companies to gain recognition for their innovative contributions to the plastics industry! Winners of the competition will be announced in a special ceremony at ANTEC® 2025, taking place March 3-6, 2025 in Philadelphia, PA.
