About the Speaker

Mr. Gary R. Wilkes obtained a Baccalaureate degree in Mathematics and Masters and Post-Master degrees in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is currently the Sr. Process Engineer – Product R&D for Dart Container of Mason, Michigan.

He has worked in the plastics industry for more than forty years in both manufacturing support and Research and Development roles. His accomplishments include the development and then application of mathematical models to significantly improve the various processes of his employers. The primary emphasis of his work has been in extrusion and thermoforming technology for many different solid phase and foamed polymers. He holds ten patents.
