Meet Ananya Ghosh
Meet SPE Member Ananya Ghosh, who is on the SPE Young Professional Committee. Her devotion to SPE and the plastics industry is multifaceted and deeply rooted. She is a self-proclaimed materials enthusiast and loves nothing more than to talk plastics! Says Ananya, “Right from the time I wake up until I go to sleep - plastic goods touch countless activities in my life.”
SPE’s Thermoforming Division recently named two winners of the Division’s scholarship program: Olivia Ferki, a graduate student and research assistant at University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and Isabella Gayoso, a junior at Penn State University. The Thermoforming Division will host both scholarship recipients at the Thermoforming Conference, taking place Sept. 20-21, in Grand Rapids, MI, in September.
SPE Fellows are honored for their contributions in the fields of plastics engineering, science, or technology, or in the management of such activities and Honored Service Members are recognized for their long-term, outstanding service to, and support of, the Society and its objectives. Fellow and Honored Service Member applications are due October 1, 2021.
The ACCE Conference—taking place September 8-10, 2021, at the Diamond Banquet & Conference Center in Novi, MI—is focused on the benefits and expanding importance of thermoset and thermoplastic composites in passenger vehicles, light trucks, and other ground transportation applications. ACCE, which will be live this year, draws speakers, exhibitors, and attendees from the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
