Essentials of Management & Leadership in Plastics, powered by SPE

Essentials of Management & Leadership in Plastics is a six-month virtual program starting in October 2022 and running through March 2023. This program is intended for early to mid-level career professionals looking to become leaders at their companies and in the plastics industry. No other Leadership Certificate program exists that is specifically designed for those in the plastics industry.

During this program, participants will engage in the following leadership topics:

  • Strengths-based leadership
  • Strategic planning
  • Organizational culture, innovation & creativity
  • Basic financial literacy
  • Leader awareness & boundaries

The Learning Journey

Essentials of Management & Leadership in Plastics is a cohort-based program with opportunities for participants to interact with learning materials on their own schedule, asynchronously, as well as participate in live group training sessions, synchronously, with other learners.

To succeed in Essentials of Management & Leadership in Plastics, learners will need to:

  • Dedicate the time necessary to complete the readings and assignments
  • Attend and participate in the live virtual sessions for each module
  • Create a confidential and safe learning environment with their cohort

Program Registration Fees*

A special introductory cost to participate is available for the first cohort:

SPE Members: $1,950
Non-Members: $2,250

Costs after the first cohort:

SPE Members: $3,375
Non-Members: $4,375

*Resource fees (i.e., text books, and supplementary materials ranging from $180-$425) are not included in registration fees.

But, before registering for the program, the first step to participating is to submit an application. Applications will be reviewed and, if accepted to participate in Essentials of Management & Leadership in Plastics, applicants will be provided program registration information and next steps.
