About the Speaker

Dr. Christopher Childers is currently the Technical Lead Engineer for Thermoplastic Composite Materials within Boeing Research and Technology. He is responsible for both the development/implementation of new thermoplastic composite materials within Boeing and supports process development as well. In this capacity he had lead multiple material and processor qualifications. Christopher has given multiple public presentations, has several publications internally and externally to Boeing, and has been awarded four US patents with several more pending. Prior to Boeing, Christopher completed his Ph.D. in Polymer Science and Engineering at The University of Southern Mississippi (2014) and a B.S. in Professional Chemistry and Mathematics from The University of Evansville (2010).
