Setogem™ RD State-of-the-art Nucleator and Acid Scavenger Technology for Polyolefins

Presented by:
Hiroshi Shiho, Kisuma Chemicals

Kisuma has recently developed state-of-the-art nucleator and acid scavenger technology for polyolefins. Setogem™ RD offers balanced nucleation properties in PP ICP grades, leading to outstanding stiffness/impact balance, controlled shrinkage, isotropic behavior, and improved part quality. It also reduces processing cycle times and protects against acidic catalytic residues. The presentation will summarize evaluations of Setogem™ RD across various PP ICP grades with different MFR ranges and resin designs. In all evaluations, Setogem™ RD allowed formulators to optimize PP recipes, resulting in highly performing products at reduced OML while ensuring optimal equipment and resin protection against acid attacks.
