Section/Division Materials Submission Deadlines
The following are SPE compliance required items and must be received by SPE headquarters annually:
- Financial Paperwork -A copy of any paperwork required by and submitted to appropriate government bodies (state/commonwealth/province/national). For groups based in the United States, this is the IRS Form 990, 990EZ, and/or Schedule A, if applicable. Each group must also submit an Annual Financial Report.
- An up-to-date Volunteer Roster must be submitted to SPE Headquarters – this roster must include the following positions: President or Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, Councilor, Membership Chair and must be held by at least four different members. All individuals serving on the board must be SPE members in good standing.
- Council Participation – each chapter must be represented by the Councilor or appointed proxy at a minimum of fifty percent of the Council meetings held during the preceding twelve months.
- Communication – Each chapter must communicate with the chapter members at least three times per calendar year, either electronically or via hard copy.
