Development And Application Of Dry-Free Reactive Chain Extension Extrusion Foaming Technology For PET

Abstract: An innovative dry-free polyethylene terephthalate (PET) reactive foaming integrated technology was developed, which is an efficient shorter process and has significant energy saving effect. The effects of different chain extender systems on the rheological properties of PET were compared, and a modified PET with high melt elasticity was prepared through a reactive extrusion process. A new type of dry-free PET, reactive chain extension and supercritical fluid foaming integrated production line was fully developed and commercialized. Till now more than ten continuous production lines were already established for PET foam production. The PET foam products produced by the technology widely used in wind power, construction, automobile and other fields.
