Summary

A business’ financial profitability comes from price/sales and the cost of the product/service. While this workshop will focus on cost management, you might think this is just another workshop on how to shut down an operation or downsize your workforce to reduce the cost of running the business. However, this is not the case! The cost comes from all the components of the plastics production lifecycle – raw materials to design/R&D to manufacturing to packaging to distribution/shipment. This workshop will demonstrate the use of the product platform concept for manufacturing simplification, innovation in product design/manufacturability, and cycle time reduction methodologies to make a significant impact on the cost of providing plastic products and services.

Target Audience

Business leaders, manufacturing engineers and management, product developers/R&D scientists/engineers, process engineers, financial managers, and product line teams challenged with improved financial performance are just some of those that will get new ideas for managing cost in their plastics business.
